What is the Dentapure antibacterial system and why is it important?
All new Dental Aire™ units come equipped with the Dentapure antibacterial system, which is designed to keep the machine’s internal components clean and free of contaminants. For optimal performance, this system should be changed annually. We also recommend installing the Dentapure system on older units to enhance safety and ensure reliable operation.
Can our staff perform routine maintenance, such as the compressor oil change, on Dental Aire™ machines?
Yes, the recommended oil change for compressor service on Ultimate and Prestige models can be completed by your staff using our step-by-step online guide. However, if you prefer, VASService can perform the oil change and the full maintenance service during our visit, ensuring your machine operates at peak performance without disruption.

Machine Services

What is "Preventative Maintenance"
An anesthesia machine safety-check performed routinely for the purpose of maintaining equipment, for improved safety, decrease equipment downtime and improve reliability instead of reactive maintenance where one is essentially waiting for a problem to happen which can be costly and have a longer downtime.
Why is preventative maintenance essential for anesthesia machines?
Preventative maintenance is critical to ensure that anesthesia machines operate within manufacturer specifications. It not only prevents equipment malfunctions and leaks that could expose clinic personnel to excessive anesthetic agents but also maximizes patient survival and supports overall recovery.
What does your preventative maintenance service include?
Our comprehensive service covers everything from checking and repairing performance issues and leaks to detailed inspections and cleaning of absorbers. We inspect and test inhalation/exhalation valves, pop-off and occlusion valves, and perform precision vaporizer leak tests and calibrations. Additional checks include oxygen supply system evaluations, flow meter calibration, and waste gas system testing—all aligned with ACVAA standards.
Do you provide on-site repairs and staff training?
Yes. We perform vaporizer exchanges and minor labor repairs on-site, and for any major repairs or parts replacements, we provide an on-site quote. Additionally, we train hospital staff on pre-use checkouts, proper cleaning, maintenance, and performance checks to ensure smooth operation and safety.
How do you guarantee the quality of your maintenance services?
Our service includes multi-point system checks to verify every critical component of the anesthesia machine and vaporizer. Upon completion, we deliver a detailed written report outlining the work done, findings, and any recommendations for future maintenance, ensuring transparency and consistent quality.
Can you repair our machine?

Our technicians are qualified to work on various machine types, including Mindray. Contact the technician in your territory on the Staff page

Do you have replacement parts?

Yes! We have replacement parts for many brands, and we make many parts that are no longer available from the original manufacturer. Most parts are carried on our technician’s vans to avoid delays.

Vaporizer Services

What is the purpose?

The primary purpose is due to wick and seal degeneration which occurs over time, creating the likelihood of leaks and gas output to fluctuate. Click HERE for further explanation.

Why is regular vaporizer servicing necessary?
Over time, vaporizers can experience wick and seal degeneration, and the rubber gasket around the control valve may swell, contract, or crack—leading to potential leaks and fluctuating gas output. Regular servicing is crucial to maintain consistent performance and safeguard both staff and patients from exposure to anesthetic agents.
What is included in your vaporizer certification service?
During our annual anesthesia maintenance, VASService performs a comprehensive vaporizer certification that includes a precision leak test, bypass test, and calibration verification using a digital analyzer. This process ensures that your vaporizer operates safely and within manufacturer specifications.
Can we exchange it ourselves?

You can!

Not only do we have instructions on how to do this yourself but soon we will be posting a video on how to do the exchange.

We also offer guided phone support if you should have any issues or questions along the way.

We also are able to do this during your scheduled services.

How does the VASS exchange program for vaporizers work?
Instead of incurring downtime by sending your vaporizer off-site for service, our exchange program provides a certified replacement during your scheduled annual preventative maintenance or through efficient two-way shipping. This minimizes disruption to your operations while ensuring your equipment remains safe and effective.
How long are we without a vaporizer?

Previously, options for this service meant down-time of your equipment while your vaporizer was sent for service but VASS exchange services allow us to deliver/exchange the noted vaporizers recommended on site during your scheduled annual PM Services or through two way directional shipping methods.
